UNBELIEVABLE

I rarely write about my Diva teenage daughter on my blog. Not really sure why?? I think it may be that some of the things she does are not funny, but frustrating. Or maybe because she reads this blog and I don't want to offend.

Except for today, gloves are off. I am sharing with the world just how ridiculous she is, serves her right!

Yesterday, Diva asked me for permission to spend the day at her friends house. Like the cool mom I am, I gave her permission and was specific on what time I wanted her home. I also asked her to call me, when she got to her friends house. Hours passed by and no phone call. The time I had set for her to be home also came and went. A few hours later, Diva arrived home! She nonchalantly walks in, ready to blurt out what ever ridiculous excuse she had conjured up. I was not having it and sent her to her room, after I scolded her for being late and grounded her until she turned at least 30.

A little while after she had been home, I guess she thought I was a bit more calm and she could talk to me.

Diva: Mom, I have something to show you!
Me:(in a snide response,still pissed): I don't want to see it!
Diva then stood directly in front of me, turned around and showed me that she bleached the tips of her hair
Me: UN-F'ing-BELIEVABLE, what did you do?!?!?!?!
Diva: I think it looks Amazing!
Me: Yea, well I think you look like an idiot!

Maybe it wouldn't have been so bad if it had been a professional job; however her friend who is always bleaching and coloring her own hair: purple, red, blue, etc did a horrible job! Let me also state that Diva's hair is black, with now reddish/blondish(not really sure what color it is) uneven tips. It looks like the tail of a Cat!

The only word worth repeating that came to mind and out of my mouth repeatedly was, UNBELIEVABLE!!! School starts in less than two weeks and Diva's hair looks ridiculous, serves her right.

These are the joys of being a mother to a teenager daughter, CALGON TAKE ME AWAY!!!!

Stopping by from SITS...oh girl, I wish I could say I feel your pain, but my only child is an eight year old boy, so we haven't reached the teenage years yet. Hang in there, you'll make it!

Found you on SITS . . . just sent my oldest off to junior high today and have spent the day thinking about all the unbelievalbe teen behaviors I have to look forward too. Not sure this made me feel any better, but I loved reading it. Love the look of your blog too!

Oh no!!!

Did she ever say why she didn't call you when she got there?!

Hang in there...pretty soon you'll be telling her that her kids are going to do this stuff right back to her, only worse. LOL My mom liked to use that on me. Luckily so far I only have a son. :)

You should (jokingly) tell her that you are so pissed you are going to make her get a haircut to get rid of the tips.

Well the positive is she came home safe and sound. A little bleached but still in one piece!

The joys of motherhood. Her friends will probably think her hair looks great.
