Sun Kissed Goddess

I love summer!!! In my opinion I have a Sun Kissed Goddess Tan; however this past weekend, while at a family party, I was told that I was too tan. I know, the nerve!! Do these family/friend Chica's not know that a great tan takes many hours of dedication and patience?!?

I am a Latina woman with naturally tanned skin, which pales out in the winter months. I use to avoid the sun at all cost, up until a few years ago, when I found much relaxation and fun basking in the sun! My mother who is fabulously gorgeous with a perfectly proportioned body(which I did not inherit), gave me a complex about being in the sun, while I was growing up.

I have light angel kisses(freckles) on my cheeks, that multiply and slightly darken when I am in the sun. My mom use to say "stay out of the sun or your freckles will multiply and connect". She would also say that she knew someone this happened to. Which in all reality had nothing to do with the freckles, but a skin disorder that caused brown blotches. Oh, my mother and her kookey ways...

I am by no means George Hamilton tanned, but I am fiercely tanned and refuse to let the statement that I am too tanned, keep me out of the sun!! Living in Midwest has it's perks...I love it here; however summer is so short lived. In just a few weeks the pools and beaches will close, the temperatures will drop, seasons will change and there will be no more frolicking in the sun!

So I am going to whoop it up while I can and enjoy these Fabulous Summer Days!!!

Smooches,
Sassy Chica

Enjoy it. I have pasty white skin. I burn & then it goes back to being pale. I would love to tan.

The nerve! I cannot believe someone would say that!

I love the sun too and have a slight tan that I am super proud of. I wish it could last all year. Having a tan always makes me feel better about myself.

Thanks for checking out my blog and I hope you visit again soon. I just started following yours!

My first hubby was Asian and his Mom would freak out about him getting tan all the time. Like the paler you were the richer you were, it was crazy!
