Almost Back to School

We are finally in the last leg of the race, in seven days, my kiddies go BACK TO SCHOOL!!! They are happy, I am happy, my wallet on the other hand is not so happy! I dread back to school shopping.

I was very proactive this year and spared myself the mental break down; however there is still some clothes shopping to do. I love to shop, I can spend hours browsing and strolling around the mall, but when I take my Diva teenage daughter and seven year old son clothes shopping it is always a grueling and exhausting experience!

My fashion forward seven year old son is quite the Fashionisto. He knows what trends are in and loves anything name brand. His style is a mix of Rocker meets Skater. I try to do his clothes shopping alone, because if the hubster comes along, then my son ends up with ridiculous items like a "Fedora". Yes, a Fedora!! He set his eyes on this beauty while shopping for spring clothes; my hubby caved and bought it. It is safe to say that my hubby lives vicariously through our son?

Diva on the other hand is a totally different story, even though she is not into name brands, her motto is as long as it fits and looks good, she will wear it. She inherited my body, curvy and busty; not the easiest to dress! She gets frustrated very quickly and it's all down hill from there. The saving grace this year is we started early and are almost done with her clothes shopping. But now she wants a new phone...does it ever end?

Before leaving for work this morning, my hubby did say for me to keep my eye out for anything I needed for my trip to VEGAS in October, so I guess it won't be so bad to take the kiddies shopping after all; Momma needs a new pair of shoes!

Back to school shopping is always such a budget buster isn't it? Sounds like you are wise to restrain the hubby lol! Stopping by to say hello from SITS!

The only reason I get sad because I am no longer in school is because I don't get to go back to school shopping anymore. It was so much fun when mom and dad were paying for everything, but now that I actually have to put it in the budget it's not so exciting.

I'm a curvy girl too and get so frustrated with shopping now. I can't seem to find anything to fit my G-gantic boobs. But when I do find something, I don't care how much it costs, I'm bringing it home to my closet!

Well, my mom dreads tagging my dad along on shopping trips as well, he gets my brothers really stupid things! Really stupid toys!
I am the diva and me and my mom looove to shop!!

So us it is the exactly same thing that you wrote, the wierd co'incident is that I am also asking my mom and dad for a cell-phone!!
I dont think it will ever end!! :)

ok whoa, back up. Your hubby said while you were shopping for school stuff for the kids (which btw is a nightmare on the budget every year! in the UK however, we have uniforms...still expensive!) that you should buy something for yourself too for a trip to Vegas!?

Girl, keep that man. Vegas, clothes, great kids = one lucky lady! Great blog, love the design!!!

You sound like a great mommy! I never enjoy shopping when dad is around (that isn't very often). Mom dreads it too! Your children sound LOVELY!

I was like your daughter, not into brands. Just if it fits and looks good, get it and let's go.

Visiting from SITS.

ooh make sure you get a chance to hit up the outlet mall in Primm Nevada, its about 30 min south of Vegas, and totally worth it. Hollister, roxy, vans, guess, hurley, coach..... all the name brands..

the outlets in vegas arent as cheap..
